Lucio Rodríguez-Sifuentes is a full-time Research Professor at the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Autonomous University of Coahuila (UA de C), he holds a Biochemical Engineering degree from UA de C, a Master’s degree in Biochemical Sciences from UNAM, a Doctorate in Biochemical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Durango, and Lean Six Sigma certifications. His research concentrates on the use of food industry by-products for value-added products, process optimization, and microbial cultivation for compound production. He has published numerous papers and book chapters, and he is a level 1 member of Mexico's National System of Researchers. His private sector experience includes roles as Analyst, Supervisor, Development Manager, and Agrobiological Researcher for companies like Met Mex Peñoles and Arysta LifeSciences. Additionally, he is the Co-founder and General Director of the tech-based company Bioproductos Laguneros S.A. de C.V.
